Diet and Other Supplements for your Well Pet
A proper diet is the foundation of good health.
Herbs, essences, and other treatments cannot give their full benefits to an animal on a poor diet. Dry pet food is a very unnatural substance; contains many potentially harmful chemicals, additives, and preservatives; and causes or contributes to many serious health issues.
We recommend a homemade diet; however, we understand that in some cases that is impractical. Adding canned food or real meat (organic if fed raw) to the diet will still be beneficial. Cats in particular need at least 50% and preferably 100% of their diet as wet food, either canned or homemade.
Probiotics (acidophilus and other "friendly" bacteria) are very helpful in keeping the gastrointestinal tract healthy. Digestive enzymes are beneficial for all animals to help them gain the maximum benefit from their food.
