I am very pleased to be associated with PetEssiance and Ojibwa Tea of Life™. I have worked with the folks at Ojibwa Tea of Life for many years, and am confident about the extremely high quality of their products.
The basic essiac formula has been proven by many years of safe use in both animals and people. It's loaded with antioxidants and trace nutrients including vitamins, amino acids and minerals. Its four synergistic herbs cleanse and purify the blood and lymph systems, revitalize the liver, protect mucous membranes, and support the immune system.
After much research and discussion with Ojibwa Tea of Life's chief herbalist, Michelle Kalevik, about the needs of companion animals, I recommended two additions to essiac's four basic herbs: cat's claw and astragalus. Both of these herbs are well known as tonics with strong immunosupportive properties. They also have a long history of safe use. We believe that they provide a powerful synergistic action with the basic essiac recipe.
Why did we think the traditional essiac formula needed to be modified for animals? For two main reasons:
- Our domestic animals have for generations been subject to intensive breeding, processed food, and multiple vaccinations that humans have largely escaped.
- The massive, unprecedented stresses of modern life, and the toxins in our air, water and food. No environment on earth is immune. Our highly sensitive dog, cat and horse friends are even more deeply affected by the pervasive noise, air pollution, and water impurities (many of them added by our municipal water treatment facilities!) than we humans are.
Given the extreme stresses confronting our planet today, we felt that this update of the essiac formula would be even more helpful to our animal companions than the original formula alone.
Herbs work directly on the physical body, but true healing cannot occur without also restoring the energetic bodies of emotion, mind, and spirit. Therefore, in addition to Ojibwa Tea for Animals, I am also developing a line of flower and other vibratory (energy) essence remedies to complement the herbal formula.
I've been working with essences for many years, and in 1995 started my own line, SpiritEssence. We've begun with PetEssiance Well Pet Energy Essences (Cani-Essence for dogs, and Feli-Essence for cats). These remedies promote maximum well-being for your pet's mental, emotional, and spirit levels. Essences are a safe, effective, natural way to help pets be healthy and happy!
